Payroll Administrator

We are looking for a Payroll Professional to join us for 6 months

Delivering the Diageo Group Payroll as a member of the ROI/UK Payroll Team in Edinburgh Park    part of the European HR Shared Service Centre The Payroll team is responsible for the administration of the Diageo Group Payroll for ROI & UK employees, expatriates, inpatriates, and Diageo Pensioners.

The department works within an uncompromising monthly time frame, providing a consistently reliable and accurate service within a dynamic environment from both ongoing legislative and Company changes. You will be expected to:


· Process changes to payroll system for joiners, leavers, promotions, transfers, national wage agreements, annual reviews, BIK, increments and awards, non-statutory deductions.

· Contribute information for various Payroll activities:
- P11D and PSA process
- Statutory / Company/Third Party reconciliations and reporting
- Ad hoc exercises.

· Ensure regulatory compliance and minimise non-compliance penalties in a highly complex regulatory environment. Ensuring knowledge of current statutory regulation and Company procedures.

· Manually process payments required out with main payroll run. Prepare journals and update records.

Ensure enquiries from employees and other key stakeholders are resolved satisfactorily within agreed timescales

Qualifications and Experience Required

At least 3 years Payroll experience in a multi-site, highly computerised payroll service. Demonstrated communication and relationship building skills. Comprehensive understanding of UK &/ or ROI legislation affecting payroll and statutory reporting. Ability to build credibility with all levels and functions. Demonstrates financial (including financial systems) and numerical skills. Demonstrate great customer service attitude to employees, pensioners and members of other internal Diageo teams. Demonstrates excellent organisational and planning skills. PC Literate.
