Manager-Monitoring & Evaluation, Mumbai

Travel: Domestic up to 60%

I. TECHNOSERVE BACKGROUND:

II. PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

TechnoServe has been active in India since June 2006. The country program focuses on three thematic areas, namely development of value chains (specifically agricultural value chains); development of entrepreneurship (specifically socially relevant businesses) and innovative partnership models for enhancement of livelihood opportunities for the poor; and local economic development. It is an exciting period for the country program as we grow our Indian entity and look for expansion of our programs and coverage across the country.     

III. POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The responsibilities of the Manager -Monitoring & Evaluation include, but are not limited to:
  • Design tools and systems for projects to capture impact
  • Work with project managers to plan future programs based on analysis and impact assessment of related TechnoServe programs
  • Write reports on project progress to funders
  • Manage TechnoServe internal reporting requirements
  • Carry out additional impact assessment activities, involve both quantitative and qualitative analysis


IV. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, learning and communication functions in development intervention
  • Prior work experience with international donors, bilateral / multilateral funded projects
  • Masters in a relevant field from a reputed school (MBA would be preferable)
  • Expertise using ICT for program execution and management
  • Ability to manage multi stakeholder partnerships, both commercial and non-profits
  • Excellent communicator
  • Willingness to travel extensively within India, and internationally if needed.
