IT Applications Manager - Microsoft Development

Our Client - Co-operative crude oil, oil refinery and oil transportation business focusing on the Illinois Basin. This role can be based in Mount Vernon or Evansville, IN. Indianapolis is also a consideration. Relocation is offered.

Job Description - In this role the IT Applications Manager will be expected to supervise and coordinate the analysis, evaluation, development, testing and implementation of computer software applications and modifications. This could also include a potential new ERP implementation.

Additionally the Applications Manager will also be expected to ensure on-going support for maintenance of all assigned applications platforms, testing standards, and the integration with other systems residing on other technical platforms.

Other responsibilities include:

• Leading and implementing change management through various software applications
• Ensuring the reliability of deployed solutions by designing reliable solutions, troubleshooting problems, and engaging the appropriate people to solve complications
• Managing development activities including scoping, planning, executing and monitoring the projects to keep projects on schedule and budget
• Managing and supervising development, QA, and technical services functions
• Leading the applications team that is responsible for ERP application support, database performance, programming, and reporting
• Managing the implementation of installing software upgrades, coordinating customizations, and data import/export(s) as requested
   

Candidate Requirements -  For this role you must be degree educated with at least 8 years' experience as an Applications Developer or Analyst with at least 3 years management experience. You must be able to show previous proven leadership across technical implementations and the ability to manage multiple, simultaneous tasks and projects while utilizing strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Technically you should have strong SQL knowledge including patch management for ERP applications and Microsoft X++ or C# programming experience.
