Intern, Research and Communication, Global Financial Inclusion Initiative (New Haven, CT)
IPA's Global Financial Inclusion Initiative (GFII) is looking for a full-time intern for Summer 2014 to be based in New Haven, CT.
The GFII Intern will support the initiative staff with research and communication activities around ongoing and completed research projects. This position offers the opportunity to gain exposure to a broad array of financial inclusion issues and develop expertise in the design of randomized controlled trials and the communication of research to a policy audience.
Duties may include:
  • Assisting in the drafting, publishing, and updating of project summaries on the GFII website and research briefs on IPA’s financial inclusion projects
  • Working with the team to design policy documents and resources for the initiative
  • Support literature review and research synthesis efforts in financial capability and digital payments
The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and communication skills in English, good background in econometrics, statistics, and empirical research methods, as well as familiarity and interest in financial inclusion issues. Attention to detail and ability to work independently are important requirements for this position. Familiarity with Adobe InDesign is a plus. The intern should expect to commit 40 hours per week to this position.
