The Opportunity
 
We are currently looking for an Environmental Engineer, residentially based in Boron, to provide support to the environmental group and business unit by managing daily air quality compliance, drafting technical reports for submission to regulatory agencies, and working with onsite personnel to find solutions to environmental issues around the site.
 
What the role entails
 
Reporting to the Global Environment Manager, you will be responsible for:
  •  Preparing and submitting compliance reports required to comply with environmental permits
  •  Managing contractors who providing environmental services
  •  Identifying potential opportunities to improve the efficiency of data collection, input, and reporting
  •  Interfacing with environmental technicians and outside contractors on completion of air quality work whilst performing Quality Assurance/Quality Control for work submitted
  •  Developing and implementing improvements in Health, Safety and Environment Quality (HSEQ) Management System for assigned Elements
  •  Communicating with regulatory agency staff on environmental compliance and reporting issues
  •  Providing environmental awareness and compliance training
What you will need for this role
 
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
 
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in environmental engineering or a related field
  • Knowledge of California air quality regulatory compliance and permitting
  • Minimum 2-5 years relevant experience
  • California Visual Emissions Evaluator License (Preferable)
  • Ability to communicate permit and other regulatory requirements to onsite personnel and with cross-functional teams
