Early Career Programme - Beirut

Global Travel & Middle East (GTME) is a substantial and growing business for Diageo.

The business is operated through the following regions – Western, Central, Key Accounts, Supply, GDBS, Asia Pacific and Middle East/North Africa (MENA).

MENA is the largest and most complex of the GTME Regions where we run all of Diageo’s interests (On – Trade, Off - Trade and Travel Retail), some of which is managed via third party distributors. MENA is a fast changing regulatory, political and commercial environment.


Dimensions of the role


The Diageo ‘Early Career Program’ is a graduate program that combines practical, on-the-job training with theoretical learning. We’ll also focus on your leadership expertise to help you get the most from your teams and projects. 
First, you will complete a six months internship, at the end of which you will be assessed on your performance and results. A select few will be chosen for the full graduate program, within which you will complete 18-month role rotations within different areas of the business – this could include the opportunity to complete one of your rotations in another Diageo market.
As well as an in-depth induction and the opportunity to network with your peers, you could find yourself working on a wide range of live projects, gaining exposure to senior leaders and teams out in the field. 


Qualifications and experience required


 
  • 0-1 year of Experience.
  • Graduate with a Bachelor in Business Administration from a reputable university.
  • English & Arabic speaking.

Barriers to success in the role


 
  • Lack of attention to detail, planning and organisation.
  • Inability to operate in a fast moving environment often under strict timelines.
  • Inability to flex management styles and/or operate effectively in various functions/cultures/regions
