Downstream Oil & Gas Operations Specialist

Our Client - Our client is a downstream oil and gas refinery firm which develops a diverse mix of crude oil and refined products pipelines as well as a crude oil acquisition and marketing assets. Our client is based in Fostoria, OH. Relocation is offered.
Job Description - We are seeking for an Operations Supervisor to work directly with station operators and pipeliners who are involved in receipt, storage and delivery of LPGs, gasoline, crude oil, fuel oils and other products. Responsibilities include organizing, planning, controlling and directing pipeline and terminal operations and maintenance.
Other responsibilities include-
  • Participating in local Safety Committees
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and with all local, state and federal regulations
  • Managing the expense budget to complete required repairs/upgrades at a minimum cost
  • Performing budget re-forecasting as appropriate
  • Analyzing overall system operations and submit appropriate budget projects to improve safety and performance
  • Supporting and assisting HES (Health & Safety) training activities
  • Providing supervisory relief for other departments in various geographical areas
     
Candidate Requirements - For this role you should be degree educated with exemplary supervising experience. You should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: pipeline maintenance, pipeline operations, terminal operations, pipeline welding, refinery operations, petroleum storage tank inspection/maintenance, underground storage cavern operation and maintenance. Additionally you should have knowledge of the mechanical components required for liquid pipeline operations.
Finally you should also have knowledge of PHMSA regulations, including operator qualification requirements. Experience with collective bargaining agreements a plus. Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) is desirable.
