Joining us as Director of National Accounts and Economic Statistics, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering high quality, easy-to-use statistics and analysis on the UK economy and national accounts, ensuring our global reputation for UK statistics is maintained and enhanced.
You’ll inspire a large, multi-disciplinary team of statisticians and economists in the delivery and development of the nations key statistics, based on your extensive knowledge and understanding of economic statistics. The external face of ONS, you’re an engaging presenter who will represent us to broadcast and print media, as well as government representatives and the general public. You’ll ensure that our statistics continue to be a trusted source of data used to inform and steer government policy.
With exceptional operational focus, you’ve a proven track record in a statistical, economic or analytical capacity, combined with a talent for inspiring your team to deliver stretching strategic priorities. You’re an exceptional communicator with first-class stakeholder management skills capable of forging strong links with outside bodies and individuals, in the UK and internationally. An extensive knowledge and understanding of economic statistics and their importance will be critical to your success.
