Director of Data Collection

Joining us as Director of Data Collection, you’ll play a crucial role as you take the work of the Data Collection Directorate forward, enabling the delivery of high quality, easy-to-use statistics and analysis on the UK economy and society, ensuring our global reputation for UK statistics is maintained and enhanced.
Collecting information from people, business and administrative systems throughout the UK, you’ll manage a large team to produce, trustworthy, relevant and meaningful statistics. You’ll lead the drive to modernise our data collection methods, preparing the business for new, innovative and electronic data collection solutions.
With an extensive track record working in an analytical or data collection-based role, you have an in-depth understanding of the challenges associated with collecting data. An inspirational leader, you have the capability to implement a forward-thinking strategy around the way we currently collect and produce our statistics. You possess the gravitas to inspire your team, together with the exceptional negotiation and communication skills to deliver stretching strategic priorities and build strong relationships with colleagues across the business.
