Purpose:
 
 
  • Responsible for achieving budgeted sales within assigned region.
  • Local implementation of National Execution Plan.
  • Lead the monthly and quarterly Distributor planning process
 
Key Outputs:
 
Management Responsibility:
 
  • Has moderate authority/opportunity to set and negotiate product/service terms.
  • Managers own territory and account approach and monitors resources within Diageo standards.
 
Decision Making:
Solves a range of straightforward problems; analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures
 
Outputs:
 
  • Establish Diageo as the premier supplier in assigned territory through market knowledge, constant and reliable call frequency.                                                                          
  • Maintain maximum store inventories through program communication (pre-selling using Persuasive Selling Format),
  • Achieve targeted distribution goals for innovation items.
  • Achieve yearly AOP volume and profit goals.
 
Execution:
 
  • Installs all merchandising materials on a timely basis in each retail account.            
  • Maximum conversion of chain activity.                 
  • Communicate Diageo added value through knowledge of retail trends and unit profit through reports
  • Monitor and report on competitor activity in assigned territory        
  • Provide product knowledge and beer seminars to retail customers
  • Work with customers to understand & influence their selling capacity.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication with distributor, accounts, line manager and cross functional roles to ensure alignment on planning and execution.
  • Lead on premise quality agenda in market
 
Qualifications and Experience Required:
 
 
  • Bachelor degree required
  • 2-4 years relevant work experience required
  • Selling experience as part of an organization with sales training
  • Understanding of retailer and/or distributor strategy and operations
  • Analytical and presentation skills
