Job Description
ICANN has an exciting new opportunity for a Contractual Compliance Specialist. The Contractual Compliance Specialist's key role is to process complaints received by ICANN regarding the Registrar and the Registry agreements and the Consensus Policies. The specialist is expected to provide second level support to Compliance Analysts, contribute to operational productivity and quality improvements, responsible for knowledge management and standard operating processes and procedures lifecycle. In addition, the specialist will support or lead other initiatives such as researching and analyzing data for ongoing and special projects assist with enforcement activities and program implementation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review, analyze and process complaints in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Provide guidance to other staff in the processing of tickets
  • Demonstrate deeper knowledge of complaint types and resolution paths
  • Conduct and coordinate required follow-up procedures and recommend prevention and/or enforcement actions to ensure compliance
  • Draft and gain approval of non-standard communications
  • Evaluate, make recommendations and revise for standard operating procedures
  • Review, analyze, perform root cause analysis, formulate and implement recommendations on complaints
  • Prepare and provide referrals for enforcement and escalation
  • Support audit activities including providing information, performing analysis, reviewing documents
  • Review, analyze & recommend continuous improvements
  • Participate in staff development/training
  • Other duties as assigned or requested to support the overall goals
Required Skills:
  • Technical understanding of the Internet and the Domain Name System
  • Good analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Good and clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and to work independently
  • Must be well-organized, detail oriented, self-directed
  • Fluency in English with multi-lingual skills strongly preferred
  • Prior international experience strongly preferred
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Preferred 5 years contract management and compliance related experience
